He is survived by his son and daughter- in-law, Tyler and Kathryn Jordan of Chandler grandson, Truett Cranfill Jordan of Chandler brother, Mike Jordan of Edom brother, Pat Jordan and Melissa Davis of Edom nephew, John Jordan II of New York nephew, Nathan and Valene Jordan of Edom niece, Ashley Mosley of Van great-niece, Livia Jordan of Edom great-nephew, Lathan Jordan of Edom many cousins, other relatives and a host of friends. Sam is preceded in death by his parents, C.A. It's called, 'Coming Together: An African-American pastor leads a Christian congregation in a Jewish temple, and works to bridge the nation’s racial divide. Sam was known for his outgoing personality. Pastor Hurmon Hamilton and New Beginnings Community Church (NBCC) were featured in Climate Magazine (Aug, 2020), a monthly publication that covers news and stories across San Mateo County. Sam enjoyed playing dominoes, playing his guitar at church, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed going to Texas A&M football and baseball games with Tyler. Sam became a devout Aggie fan when his son, Tyler, went to Texas A&M. He worked at Jordan’s, the family business, most of his life. God has led our ministry to make a difference in the lives of the community we. Sam was a lifelong member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church until it closed and then New Beginnings Community Church in Edom. New Beginnings Ministries of Peoria now resides at 3201 N.E. He graduated from Van High School in 1973 and then earned an Associate’s Degree from Tyler Junior College where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. NBCC is a vibrant and diverse community centered on Christ and shaped by a strong fidelity to the truths of Scripture.
